Flood Relief
Bihar is India’s most flood-prone State, with 76% of the population in the North Bihar living under the continuous threat of flood devastation. In 2019, 12 districts of Bihar got affected by the floods affecting more than 80 lakh people of the North Bihar area.
In the last two years Raindrops Foundations has reached out and provided relief to 4,000 families of North Bihar with the help of JAMIPOL Ltd.
Raindrops Foundation launched a relief campaign in 2019 to reach out to more than 2,000 families with the help of JAMIPOL Ltd. On 11th and 12th August 2019, the joint team visited the affected villages and distributed the relief materials. 2000 packs consisting of food essentials were distributed in areas like Ithoo, Rakhwari, Pakhrauni Dumra, Bisanpur, and villages like Naruar and Aaunjhla where the villagers lost their everything when the dam had broken during the midnight.
In 2020, when Bihar was battling with not only floods but also COVID-19, our on ground volunteers went the extra mile by crossing risky terrains to reach out the worst affected regions.
